The Oti Regional Minister,  MrJoshua Makubu
The Oti Regional Minister,  Mr. Joshua Makubu, has advised the student wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) to be committed and productive to the Party at their youthful ages.
The Minister was addressing the youth at the Dambai College of Education in the Regional Capital where the Oti Regional TESCON Youth  hosted the annual Conference on the theme " Breaking the 8 roles of TESCON."
Citing himself as an example, the Minister said he was a member of TESCON from HO Polytechnic to KNUST before joining another NPP group at the University of Ghana, Legon.
He insisted hope into the youth that, the NPP has never disappointed hardworking students in the party. "Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, Lands and Natural Resource Minister, Hon. Mustapha Hamid is all former TESCON members so if you're an NPP and you're at the tertiary institution never give up, your work is an investment for you. In the future will be the leaders of the party" he said.
The Minister has not left out his contribution on E-Levy, adding that it's the best option to resurrect the economy in the country. He bemoans the opposition NDC for not contributing positively to the interest of the country.
"If you're a Ghanaian and want to know good policy then look up to those NDC kick against, the E-levy will help. When we discovered petroleum, they said it's just an ordinary oil but now we're benefiting, health insurance they kicked against it, Free SHS, Youth Employment any idea that will be implemented by the NPP, NDC will go against it. They should explain to Ghanaians the good side of the E-levy" he added.
The Oti Regional TESCON Coordinator, Mr. Isaac Nkrumah popularly known as 'Sir Zibo'  appeals to the party executives to help TESCON y providing them with logistics to be able to reach the grassroots and preach the message of the party.
"Breaking the 8, TESCON will need logistics like cars, motorbikes, T-shirts, and banners, gadgets to enable us to make more research. TESCON is the intellectual eye of the party, so we do research for the party and tell them the way forward so we need a lot of logistics", he said.
With high hopes, the Oti Regional youth organizer of the Npp King David Nkanbonam noted that, if the party can provide logistics to the tertiary students in the party will enable them to break the 8-year jinx.
