National Security Minister Alert: Greater Accra Regional  Police Caught In Wrongful  Arrest Of Topkings Worker
Albert Kan-Dapaah, National Security Minister
Some police officers from the Greater Accra Regional Police Command who had been in league with the managers of Trasacco Company Limited have been caught in what can be described as the wrongful arrest of the Manager in charge of projects at Topkings Enterprise Limited, Mr. Kwaku Boakye.
Mr. Kweku Boakye last Friday, September 23, 2022, was wrongfully arrested on his company land situated at the plush East Legon area called Topkings Village.
The worrying development had informed the decision of the management of Top Kings Enterprise Limited, a real estate company to appeal to the National Security Minister, Mr. Albert Kan-Dapaah to, urgently call to order the police officers in the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.
The company appealed to the Minister to intervene to ensure the release of Mr. Boakye because he was innocent of the various charges allegedly preferred against him by Trasacco and the police.
According to the company, the police officers with the tacit support of Ga State Paramount Stool Dzaasetse, Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II known in his private life as Herry Addo are working with the Trasacco Company Limited to take over the lands of the Top Kings genuinely and legally bought from the Nungua Royal Stool situated at East Legon.
Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II was accused of aiding the police to arrest the Manager Director of Top Kings Enterprise Limited, Dr. Benjamin Kwame Danso with the wrongful accusation that he ordered security guards to go and destroyed the properties of Trassaco. These allegations are false.
The police who had arrested Mr. Boakye on Friday, September 23, 2022, according to the sources, preferred false charges against him that he fired a gun at the criminal suspect who is currently standing trial in an Accra Circuit Court Nine Land Division, which has turned out to be false.
The charges, according to the insiders, were not true, saying that Mr. Boakye who is a 70-year-old man has not even laid hands on a gun in his life.
The information available to this portal indicates that Trasacco Company Limited has allegedly convinced the police officers to arrest Mr. Boakye because he has spoken to the journalists about the Top Kings' genuine ownership of the said land situated at East Legon.
Mr. Boakye told journalists that his company even had won a judgment from the Supreme Court in favor of its Trasacco Estates Development Company Limited in the land litigation case which has traveled for over twenty-three (23) years.
These explanations offered to the journalists by Mr. Boakye have angered Trasacco, hence its decision to hire the police officers to arrest Boakye, ostensibly to put fear in him and the company for the Trasacco to allegedly take over the lands in question.
However, a series of the various judgments from the Supreme, High, and Circuit Courts intercepted by this portal indicates that the Trasacco Company Limited has no land at East Legon.
According to the judgments, the lands in question belong to Top Kings Enterprise Limited and the company bought them from Nungua Royal Stool.
However, there have been several reported cases of how Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II has allegedly played an instrumental role in supporting the Trasacco to use police to intimidate, harass, attack, and arrest some workers including the private security guards of Topkings Enterprise Limited.
In voice audio intercepted by this portal, the police officer was heard talking to Nii Ayi Ana Kon Tech II that they had arrested twelve of them but fortunately Mr. Abu and the one they called the Commander had gotten out of their houses before they went to their houses.
In the same audio, the police officer stated that Abu left his house and they met his wife and that they entered his room but they couldn't get anything from his room.
The police continued that  "We searched the room he and we didn't get anything but we took Abu's Jingle motorbike away and Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II has responded that okay.
He added that "we took the bike and arrested all of them and now remaining Abu and Tinny.
The police officer promised Nii Ayi Ana Kon Tech II that 'those that we had arrested will show whereabouts of Abu and others who are hiding.
In the said audio, Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II was heard saying that Ben is given an excurses that he fell sick and the police officer responded that they would serve him (Ben) with a criminal summons.
The police officer further indicated that when he (Ben) refused to honor the invitation of the police, the arrest warrant would be issued for the arrest of Ben and Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II responded to the police officer that "thank you very much and good job done."
When contacted by this portal to respond to the allegations leveled against him, Nii Ayi Ana Kon The II flatly denied knowledge of the arrest of Boakye.
"I have not aided any arrest of Mr. Boakye, l am even not in town, l have been to Koforidua.
Even Mr. Boakye is a small chicken in this case but the person we are looking to arrest is Mr. Benjamin Kwame Danso. So it is not true l have played instrumental roles in the arrest of Mr. Boakye," he stated.
On the allegations of him speaking in the alleged audio with the police officer after the police had gone to effect the arrest of some security guards of Topkings Enterprise Limited last two weeks, Mr. Herry Ayi Addo denied speaking to the police officers, saying that the audio is doctored one.
