Marriage Should Be Renewed Every Five Years – Prophet Kumchacha

Ghanaian celebrated preacher Kumchacha has revealed that for the good health of couples, marriage should be contractual and a law should be enacted in Ghana that will ensure that men who raped women or engaged in incest are castrated.

Speaking on Onua TV on the back of several marital problems which sometimes lead to the murder of spouses, Kumchacha intimated that if marriages were contractual and renewed after every 5 years, the interest of both parties would be protected.

Kumchacha suggested while contributing to a discussion on the reports indicating that late Sister Osinachi’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu, has been sentenced to death by hanging after he was found guilty of murdering his wife.

According to his suggestion, marriage should be renewed or otherwise after every five years if couples are happy to continue or not.

Kumchacha prayed that if he had the power, he would enact laws that do not protect only women but ensure that marriages do not become an enduring pain for couples and that an easy exit was made for people to opt-out.

“If I had the chance, I would beg God to make marriage a legal contract.” It should be limited to a five-year term with the possibility of extension.”

Regarding the issue of rape and incest, he said:

“It is foolishness to engage in incest. What at all will make one engage in incest, having sex with your child. We need a law that will say we should castrate men who sleep with their children.”
