The Ghana Airport Company Limited’s Divisional Union of the Public Services Workers’ Union has directed all general staff of the Kotoka International Airport to withdraw their services indefinitely starting today.

According to a statement sighted by soireenews, the Union has accused the Company’s board of attempting to shelve the an investigative report which allegedly confirms the Managing Director, Yaw Kwakwa is guilty of mismanagement and abuse of office.

According to the Union the only way to turn the fortunes of the Company around is to remove the Managing Director from his post.

They have therefore notified the public especially air operators of the withdrawal of their service.

Affected services include; screening of pre-board passengers and access control, fire/safety cover for all aircrafts, water and sewage treatment, and public announcement and flight display.
