Sir Kenny Dalglish has told that Liverpool’s chances of going into the finals of this year’s Champions League will be determined by the results they get against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals stage of the competition.

The Reds legend has hinted that although Los Blancos are still a threat to the Reds pursuit for a seventh European title yet they are the best bargain compared to Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

He confidently expressed that if Jurgen Klopp’s men surpass the Spanish hurdle, they will be on top against Chelsea, that is if the Blues qualify against Porto.

“They (Liverpool) are still a threat. Still, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, he said on talkSPORTS Breakfast show.

“When have you ever been happy drawing Real Madrid. You’ve missed Bayern and Man City.

“If they can beat Real Madrid they can go all the way to the final. And it’s in Istanbul.

“Chelsea came and beat us at Anfield. He’s (Thomas Tuchel) been on a great run. We’ll beat them in the semi-final like before.”

On the impact of the fans at Anfield, the former manager told that their none appearance has really affected Liverpool following their recent struggle for a top-four position in the Premier League.

“We miss the fans because they get the players up. We’ve always played great tribute to them and had great success.

“There’s nobody there cheering on Liverpool and they think they’re better than they are.”
