Fiapre Presby marks 5 years anniversary with clean up exercise

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Fiapre District, has organised a clean-up exercise in Fiapre.  The Fiapre market, lorry station and some principal streets of the town were some of the areas the exercise took place  which forms part of the 5th Anniversary Celebrations of the Church in the district.

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Fire District, has organized a clean-up exercise in Fire. 

The Fire market, lorry station, and some principal streets of the town were some of the areas the exercise took place which form part of the 5th Anniversary Celebrations of the Church in the district.

 
The District Minister of the Church, Rev. Eric Kwasi Now said the exercise would help deepen the relationship and the mission of the church with the community. 

The district minister Rev. Eric Kwasi Now noted the essence of ensuring a clean environment to Soiree  News saying, “Cleanliness is godliness so if we want to worship him, we have to make sure our surroundings are clean”. He further promised more such exercises to improve sanitation in the area as he believed the church could only thrive where there was a healthy environment. 


Rev.Eric Kwasi Now again explained that the action was not only concentrated on cleaning the environment but to bring the church and the world closer to the community to win souls for Christ. 

“Keeping a healthy environment is a shared responsibility”.the Rev. Minister added.


Chairman of the Planning Committee for the 5th anniversary of the Fire District Mr. Gorge Osei also revealed that there will be a prison outreach and a donation as part of the church’s social responsibility and Christian mandate to help those in need to complement the government’s effort towards the upkeep of the inmates.


On behalf of the market women, Madam Agnes Boatemaa commended the Church for the exercise and asked other religious organizations to emulate the gesture.
