Despite how challenging the country is, I don't regret saying "Nana Toaso" - Sarkodie

Despite how challenging the country is, I don't regret saying "Nana Toaso" - Sarkodie

Sarkodie claims he stands by his decision to use the phrase "Nana Toaso" in his song to promote President Akufo-Addo's reelection through music.

He claims that despite the political backlash it caused, he has no regrets about the steps he took to honor the President's accomplishments.

Speaking on 3Music TV, Sarkodie claimed that he had personally benefited from the free water, free electricity, and free SHS and had therefore chosen to support Akufo-Addo's candidacy for the 2020 elections.

"I continue to support it. I directly benefited from free education, thus I supported it. My mother used to bother me about school costs, but thanks to the FREE SHS, I started to feel better. Even if it wasn't much, I still backed it.

Sarkodie acknowledged that, despite what he had said, he had not forgotten that the country is difficult and that many people are suffering.

The country is worse and we are in a serious crisis because people are really suffering, but I still stand by it, he said.
