Cristiano Ronaldo will commit to a seven-year contract at Al-Nassr.

The deal will include an increase in his €200m pay packet after 2024.

During the 2022 World Cup, it was claimed Al-Nassr had reached an agreement with Ronaldo, a free agent.

It was reported that the 37-year-old would sign a two-year contract with the Saudi Arabian side.

But it is now understood that the agreement is set to run through to 2030.

Ronaldo will become an ambassador at Al-Nassr after his playing career at the club ends in 2024, at which point he will also see his €200m-per-year wages rise periodically.

His old club United, Manchester United who beat Burnley 2-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, published a brief 81-word farewell to Ronaldo in the matchday programme.

It read: 'The Portuguese superstar scored 145 goals across two spells and 436 appearances, and helped us win three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Ronaldo was also crowned Ballon d'Or winner in 2008.

'In a statement on November 22, the club put on record its gratitude for Cristiano's immense contribution and wished him and his family well for the future.'
