In the news item written and signed by the Special Aide to Mr Erasmus Ali Koney, Mr Berima Owusu, popularly known as OB, which was captured by Soireenews.com, it said that the primal principle of democracy is the worth and dignity of every well meaning individual.

Earlier on, the statement noted that Mr  Erasmus Ali Koney aka Asanka @⁨Erasmus Akwatia Ali Koney⁩  charged the cheering crowd who couldn't lower down their expectations upon having an encounter with Akwatia darling man to spearhead the front for Joe Quayson.
He re-echoed that democracy is not something that just happens. it’s not something that happens just with one event. It’s an ongoing building process. He affirmed that a society that cuts off from its youth severs its lifeline and doom the hopes of it people.

He cemented that as long as Assin North continues to see day  light, they should  fight for their rights in parliament by voting massively for the NDC candidate i.e Joe Quayson.
He reiterated that anti-democracy is a virus that exists in the blood of the NPP and pro-democracy is the antibody to that virus to eliminate them from the system by ensuring every individual thumbprint for the NDC candidate in today's polls.

He charged them to be vigilant, and stay on top of issues to safeguard our democracy.
Three candidates are vying for the seat: James Gyakye Quayson of the National Democratic Congress , Charles Opoku of the New Patriotic Party, and Bernice Enyonam Sefenu of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG).

The Electoral Commission (EC) scheduled the by-election for June 27 following the nullification of the 2020 parliamentary election won by Honourable Quayson.
The police have assured of adequate security measures put in place to ensure the smooth running of the by-election.
