The Aspiring Member of Parliament of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Tafo-Pankrono Constituency, Dr. Serwaa Donkor has revealed talent building as one of her ideal priorities that can help resolve youth redundancy in the Municipality.

She addressed that the lucrative nature of Sporting events globally has changed lots of lives by giving hope to the unschooled normally left behind in country administration therefore helping to fulfil such abilities in the constituency would help empower lives for the future benefits of the youth.

 

 

“I was once a footballer and had sports at heart. We want to help those who have knowledge in sports also by building a sports complex that can unearth talents at Tafo and Pankrono,” she said.

“The activity indeed is very profitable in our modern world. Indeed, building talent will help eradicate poverty from this municipality.”

Dr. Serwaa Donkor filed her nomination form on Tuesday, February 19, 2020 at the New Patriotic Party Office at Tafo to contest in the upcoming primaries for the nod to represent the constituency in Ghana’s parliament on December 7 after Dr. Anthony Osei Akoto announced that he will not contest the ruling party’s upcoming primaries for the 2020 polls last year.

 

 

Hundreds of party faithfuls and supporters accompanied her with singing and dancing as she disclosed a section of her vision on why she deserves to be the new party representative. She made known that her decision to seek for the position is to return the favor Tafo-Pankrono offered her whiles a minor who has grown to be an accountable lady today.

“I was born and bred in this vicinity. The support this town has offered me is indeed amazing and I must pay them in return after firmly establishing myself. I have to serve them with the knowledge acquired and make their lives better through accountable governance,” she said.

Improving the height of education was also presented by the expressive woman with the assurance of providing an educational complex, which will help to break the terrible isolation under which school functions at present and like with other schools in a particular area for raising the quality of education and to organize programs throughout the Municipality.

 

 

The Tafo Hospital was also communicated to receive an upgrade to deliver effective services to patients without many obstructions.

“Educational complex will also be key when I am given the nod to be Member of Parliament. Not all inhabitants have access to a chamber and hall therefore; the educational complex will provide students an extra class schedule to take lessons any given time in areas like IT and other subjects.

“There will be teachers available to help them solve their home works and assist them in topics they have no clue of”.

“The Tafo Hospital needs a lot of upgrading to benefit inhabitants. I have been informed by doctors on the need to renovate the place to suit the modern standard for our health matters. I will make sure to improve the health service during my term and also help to grant scholarship to students to further their education to the maximum  to assist the society someday be it public or private facilities," she explained.

 

 

Dr. Serwaa Donkor outlined certain infrastructures that needs to be employed and heightened in the Tafo-Pankrono Constituency and guaranteed to put them in shape to secure the welfare of inhabitants.

“We are pleading to God to help us in our initiations as we put to bed on issues concerning sanitation and security at Tafo Pankrono. We are now a Municipality and need to build ourselves as one.

“We need a fire service department and our Police Service also requires an enhancement. We will collaborate with the chiefs and the Municipal executives together with the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO)’s to make this dream a reality,” she added.
