Chelsea have made an approach to offload big-name flops in the team to support player purchases ahead of next season.

The Blues have agreed on personal terms with Timo Werner and need to activate the £52m clause before he can play next season for Frank Lampard.

Leicester’s left-back, Ben Chilwell is also on their radar and a possible move will require a fee of around £48 million whiles Bayern Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz is currently worth £84.9m.

These deals can only be possible if Frank Lampard generates money from the club to help fund the listed players to reach the mark he wants to attain next season.

According to the Sun, Chelsea are looking to make sales from big-name flops at Stamford Bridge to back the transfers for the upcoming season.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater, Michy Batshuayi, and Victor Moses according to the Sports News outlet have all been made aware that they do not have a future at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard.

The Sun added that the budget of player purchases would upsurge the club's expenditure close to £250m, meaning the costs must be offset by the departures of those on the fringes of the squad.
