Former Finance Minister of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Dr. Kwabena Duffour has launched a project for the NDC grassroots.
Dubbed "Photo project, power to the people", which came up on Thursday, April 7, 2022, was aimed at resourcing the grassroots to enable them to be able to help assist them.
Addressing the gathering of the party supporters, the Special Guest for the occasion and Former Education Minister, Dr. Spio Gabrah disabused the ascertion that the National Democratic Congress(NDC) is not a business-oriented party.
Rather, he said the NDC, being a social democratic party has the development and well-being of the people at heart. anytime the NDC is in power, at least we get something to do", he observed.
The items donated could be used for the social programs which could generate enough funds to support the members of the constituency.
Such people could later become great assets for the constituency.
He urged the leadership of the Ashaiman Constituency to take good care of the items.
Handing over the items to the constituency, Dr. Kwabena Duffour entreated to put the items to good use to replenish them for the benefit of all.
"People tell me when I go around that anytime the NDC is in power, at least we get something to do", he observed. 
"Who says we NDC hate business people? During the reign of the late John Evans Attached Mills, we had a Gross Domestic Product(GDP) growth of 14.7% in 2011, that assertion is not true", he intimated.
"The Photo project will generate revenue and create jobs for the constituency", he stressed.
Before handing over the items to the Ashaiman Constituency Chairman, Mr. Tony Afenyo, and the executives, he urged that an account be created in the name of the project to achieve the intended purpose.
"We are going for election 2024, if we do not work hard, we will all have to travel but I want to assure everyone here that we are going to win", he added.
Accepting the items, the Ashaiman Constituency Chairman, Mr. Tony Afenyo assured the gathering of resolve to ensure that the project achieves its intended purpose.
