SOIREENEWS JOB BOARD PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date. 08/01/2026   This Privacy Policy is effective as of 08/01/2026 and explains how the Soireenews Job Board collects, uses, stores, protects, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information. It applies to the Soireenews Job Board website, mobile services, applications, employer tools, candidate services, communication systems, advertisements, and other products or services that refer or link to this Privacy Policy.

Who We Are. The Soireenews Job Board is an employment platform operated by [Insert Legal Business Name]. References in this Privacy Policy to “Soireenews Job Board,” “Soireenews,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean [Insert Legal Business Name] and its authorized operators. References to “you” or “user” include job seekers, applicants, employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, advertisers, account holders, and visitors who use or interact with the platform.

Purpose of This Policy. We recognize that employment-related information may be personal and sensitive. This Privacy Policy is intended to help users understand what information may be collected through the platform, why it may be collected, how it may be used, the circumstances under which it may be disclosed, how long it may be retained, and the choices or legal rights available to users.

Acceptance of This Policy. By accessing, registering for, or using the Soireenews Job Board, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we will request that consent before carrying out the activity. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not provide personal information or use services that require its collection.

Scope of This Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to information processed directly by Soireenews through the platform. It does not automatically govern the independent privacy practices of employers, recruiters, advertisers, payment processors, background-check companies, applicant-tracking systems, or external websites that may be accessible through the platform. Those organizations may process information under their own privacy notices and legal responsibilities.

Information You Provide When Creating an Account. When you create an account, we may collect your name, username, email address, telephone number, password or encrypted authentication information, country, city, state, preferred language, account type, and communication preferences. Employers and recruiters may also be asked to provide a business name, business address, company website, industry, registration details, professional title, business telephone number, work email address, and information needed to confirm their authority to recruit.

Job-Seeker Profile Information. Job seekers may provide information such as professional titles, employment interests, preferred locations, salary expectations, availability, education, qualifications, licenses, certifications, languages, skills, work experience, professional achievements, portfolio links, work-authorization information, and preferred employment arrangements. Job seekers may also choose to provide a profile photograph or other professional information relevant to their employment search.

Résumés, Cover Letters, and Application Materials. When you upload or create a résumé, cover letter, application, portfolio, writing sample, certificate, transcript, reference document, or other employment material, we may collect and store the information contained in those documents. Such materials may include your contact information, employment history, educational history, references, professional qualifications, accomplishments, personal statements, and other information that you voluntarily include.

Sensitive Information in Application Materials. Résumés and applications should not contain information that is unnecessary for legitimate recruitment purposes. Users should avoid including passwords, complete financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, national identification numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information unless the information is lawfully required and submitted through a secure and clearly identified process. Soireenews is not responsible for sensitive information that a user voluntarily places in a publicly visible profile or résumé.

Job Applications. When you apply for a position through the platform, we may collect the job selected, date and time of application, application responses, résumé, cover letter, screening answers, attachments, communication history, and information about the status of the application. Depending on how a job is configured, the application may be transmitted to the employer through the Soireenews platform or redirected to an employer’s external application system.

Employer and Recruiter Information. We may collect information from employers and recruiters concerning job vacancies, organizational profiles, company descriptions, workplace locations, compensation information, hiring requirements, application methods, authorized representatives, billing contacts, and recruitment activities. We may also collect documents or information needed to verify that an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or job opportunity is legitimate.

Identity and Business Verification. To reduce fraud, impersonation, deceptive recruitment, and misuse of applicant information, we may request identity or business-verification information. This may include government-issued identification, business registration records, employment authorization, domain-based email verification, telephone verification, payment verification, professional licenses, or evidence that a recruiter is authorized to act for an employer. Verification information will be used only for legitimate security, compliance, fraud-prevention, and platform-administration purposes.

Communications. We may collect messages sent through the platform, including communications between job seekers and employers, inquiries submitted to customer support, reports of suspicious activity, complaints, feedback, survey responses, and correspondence relating to account verification or billing. We may review or retain communications where reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, investigate violations, prevent fraud, protect users, or comply with legal obligations.

Payment and Billing Information. When an employer, recruiter, advertiser, or other user purchases a paid service, we may collect billing names, billing addresses, transaction amounts, invoices, payment status, subscription information, tax information, and limited payment-method details. Complete payment-card information may be collected and processed directly by an authorized third-party payment processor rather than stored by Soireenews. Payment processors may apply their own privacy policies and security practices.

Information Collected Automatically. When you use the platform, we may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, operating system, device type, device identifiers, language settings, referring pages, pages viewed, searches performed, links selected, dates and times of access, approximate geographic location derived from an Internet Protocol address, session duration, error reports, and interactions with platform features.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. We may use cookies, pixels, software-development kits, local storage, web beacons, tags, and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember account settings, maintain secure sessions, understand user activity, measure performance, prevent fraud, personalize content, and support advertising where applicable. Some technologies may be essential for the platform to function, while others may depend on your preferences or consent where required by law.

Cookie Choices. You may be able to manage nonessential cookies through a consent banner, privacy-preference center, browser controls, or device settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect sign-in functions, saved searches, job recommendations, security features, or other platform services. Additional details may be provided in a separate Soireenews Job Board Cookie Policy.

Location Information. We may collect general location information based on your Internet Protocol address or information you enter into your profile, job listing, search request, or application. If the platform offers a feature that requests precise device location, we will request device-level permission before collecting that information where required. You may disable location permissions through your device settings, although doing so may limit location-based job-search features.

Information From Third Parties. We may receive information from employers, recruiters, service providers, identity-verification providers, payment processors, analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, social-login services, advertising partners, publicly available sources, or other users. For example, an employer may provide information about an applicant’s application status, or a social-login provider may send information that you authorize it to share when you use that provider to create or access an account.

Social Login and Connected Accounts. If you register or sign in using a third-party account, the third party may provide information such as your name, email address, profile image, account identifier, or other details authorized through your settings with that provider. Soireenews does not receive your third-party account password. Your relationship with the third-party service remains subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

Information About Other People. You should provide personal information about another person only when you have lawful authority or permission to do so. Employers and applicants who provide references, team-member details, recruiter contacts, or other third-party information are responsible for ensuring that the information is collected and disclosed lawfully and that the affected person receives any notice required by law.

How We Use Personal Information. We may use personal information to create and manage accounts, display profiles and résumés according to selected visibility settings, process job postings and applications, connect applicants with employers, provide search and matching functions, deliver saved-search notifications, operate communication tools, process payments, provide customer support, maintain records, improve the platform, develop new services, detect fraud, enforce platform rules, and comply with legal obligations.

Job Recommendations and Candidate Matching. We may use information from your profile, résumé, searches, saved jobs, location, qualifications, platform activity, and stated preferences to recommend positions or candidates that may be relevant. Recommendations and matching results are informational tools and do not guarantee that a user is qualified, suitable, interested, available, or likely to receive or accept an employment offer.

Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence. We may use automated technologies to organize information, identify potentially relevant job opportunities, detect spam or fraud, moderate content, summarize job descriptions, improve searches, or support other platform functions. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate information or choices concerning automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Employers remain independently responsible for ensuring that their screening, evaluation, and hiring practices comply with applicable employment and privacy laws.

Platform Personalization. We may use account information and platform activity to personalize search results, recommend content, remember preferences, display relevant opportunities, and improve the user experience. Personalization may be based on information you provide, your interactions with the platform, and general information about your location or device.

Customer Service and User Support. We may use personal information to respond to inquiries, resolve account problems, investigate payment questions, process privacy requests, review reports, provide technical assistance, communicate policy changes, and address complaints concerning employers, recruiters, job seekers, or platform content.

Security and Fraud Prevention. Personal information may be used to authenticate users, detect suspicious account activity, prevent identity theft, investigate fraudulent listings, identify unauthorized access, block harmful communications, enforce account restrictions, protect payment systems, and preserve the safety and integrity of the platform. We may combine account, device, payment, communication, and activity information when reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Legal and Compliance Purposes. We may process information to comply with laws, regulations, court orders, subpoenas, government requests, tax requirements, accounting obligations, recordkeeping duties, and other valid legal processes. We may also use information to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, enforce agreements, investigate violations, prevent harm, protect legal rights, and cooperate with authorized regulators or law-enforcement agencies.

Communications From Soireenews. We may send administrative communications concerning account verification, security, applications, transactions, policy changes, service interruptions, privacy requests, and other matters necessary to operate the platform. These service-related communications may not always be optional because they are connected to the administration or security of your account.

Marketing Communications. With your consent where required, we may send newsletters, career resources, job alerts, promotional messages, employer services, surveys, and information about Soireenews products. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link included in the message or by changing your account preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing messages will not prevent essential account, security, application, or transaction communications.

Legal Bases for Processing. Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we may rely on the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests, consent, or legitimate interests that are not overridden by the rights and interests of affected individuals. Our legitimate interests may include operating and improving the platform, preventing fraud, protecting users, maintaining security, communicating with users, and supporting legitimate recruitment activities.

Disclosure to Employers and Recruiters. When a job seeker applies for a position, makes a profile or résumé searchable, responds to an employer, or otherwise requests contact, relevant information may be disclosed to the employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or organization associated with the opportunity. Once information is received by that organization, it may be processed under the recipient’s own privacy practices and legal responsibilities.

Profile and Résumé Visibility. Depending on available platform settings, you may be able to make your profile or résumé public, searchable by approved employers, visible only to selected employers, private, or available only when you submit an application. You are responsible for reviewing available visibility settings. Searchable profiles may be viewed, saved, downloaded, or contacted by employers with authorized access, subject to platform rules and applicable law.

Disclosure to Service Providers. We may share personal information with companies that provide hosting, cloud storage, website security, analytics, communications, email delivery, customer support, payment processing, identity verification, fraud detection, advertising, content moderation, data management, and other operational services. These providers may process information only for authorized purposes and subject to contractual, legal, or confidentiality obligations appropriate to their role.

Advertising and Analytics Partners. Where applicable and permitted by law, we may work with analytics and advertising providers to understand platform activity, measure advertising performance, limit repeated advertisements, and deliver content that may be relevant to users. Depending on the technology used and applicable legal definitions, these activities may involve disclosure, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Users may be provided with consent controls or opt-out rights where required.

Sale of Personal Information. Soireenews does not sell personal information for monetary payment unless a clear notice expressly states otherwise. Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, we will provide legally required notices and mechanisms to opt out of such processing.

Business Transactions. Personal information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, change of control, or similar business transaction. Any recipient will be required to process the transferred information in accordance with applicable law and the privacy commitments that govern the information.

Legal Disclosures and Protection of Rights. We may disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to respond to valid legal process, needed to investigate fraud or unlawful activity, or appropriate to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Soireenews, users, applicants, employers, service providers, or members of the public.

Aggregated and De-Identified Information. We may create statistical, aggregated, or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual. Such information may be used for analytics, research, reporting, workforce trends, platform development, advertising measurement, and other lawful business purposes. We will not attempt to reidentify information that has been properly de-identified except where permitted for security testing, compliance, or verification of the de-identification process.

International Data Transfers. Soireenews may operate through servers, service providers, personnel, or business partners located in countries other than the country in which a user resides. As a result, personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws. Where required, we will use recognized legal mechanisms or safeguards intended to protect information during international transfers.

Data Retention. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain accounts, complete transactions, process applications, meet contractual obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, satisfy legal requirements, and support legitimate business operations. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, account activity, legal requirements, security concerns, and the preferences of the user.

Account Closure and Deleted Information. When an account is closed or information is deleted, some data may remain in backup systems, security records, transaction records, archived communications, employer records, or legal files for a limited period. Information may also be retained when necessary to prevent fraud, comply with law, enforce agreements, protect legal rights, or complete an ongoing dispute or investigation.

Employer Retention of Applications. Employers and recruiters may independently retain résumés, applications, interview notes, candidate records, and communications received through the platform. A request submitted to Soireenews may not automatically delete copies held independently by an employer or recruiter. Users may need to contact the relevant employer or recruiter directly regarding information controlled by that organization.

Data Security. We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, destruction, or disclosure. These measures may include access restrictions, authentication controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, backups, staff procedures, vendor assessments, and incident-response practices. No website, network, storage system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

User Security Responsibilities. Users should create strong and unique passwords, protect verification codes, avoid sharing account credentials, sign out of shared devices, review suspicious communications carefully, and notify Soireenews promptly about unauthorized account activity. Soireenews will not ask users to send passwords through ordinary email or messaging systems.

Data-Breach Response. If we discover a security incident involving personal information, we may investigate the incident, take steps to contain or correct it, cooperate with service providers or authorities, and provide notices where required by applicable law. The timing and content of any notice may depend on the nature of the incident, available information, legal requirements, and instructions from authorized authorities.

Your Privacy Rights. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request information about our processing activities, access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request portability, opt out of certain advertising disclosures, or appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. Some rights are subject to legal limitations, exceptions, verification requirements, and the nature of our relationship with you.

Access and Correction. Certain account information may be reviewed or updated through your account settings. You may also contact us to request access to personal information or correction of inaccurate information that cannot be changed through the platform. We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing the request.

Deletion Requests. You may request deletion of personal information where this right is available. We may deny or limit deletion where retention is required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, transaction completion, dispute resolution, protection of rights, or another lawful purpose. Deleting an account may permanently remove access to saved jobs, applications, messages, employer tools, and other account information.

Consent Withdrawal and Objections. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, subject to applicable law. Withdrawal will not affect processing that occurred lawfully before the withdrawal. Where available, you may also object to processing based on legitimate interests or request restrictions on certain uses of your information.

Advertising Opt-Out Rights. Residents of certain jurisdictions may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling associated with significant decisions. Where these rights apply, Soireenews will provide an appropriate privacy control, request form, or preference link. We may also recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals where legally required and technically supported.

Authorized Agents. Where permitted by law, you may authorize another person to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require evidence of the agent’s authority and may contact you directly to verify your identity or confirm that the request is authorized.

Verification of Privacy Requests. To protect personal information, we may verify a requester’s identity before completing an access, correction, deletion, portability, or similar request. Verification may require confirmation through an account, email address, telephone number, identification document, transaction detail, or other information reasonably connected to the request. Information collected for verification will be used only for verification, security, compliance, and recordkeeping purposes.

Appeals and Complaints. If we deny a privacy request, you may have the right to appeal the decision by contacting us at [Insert Privacy Email]. You may also have the right to submit a complaint to a privacy, consumer-protection, or data-protection authority in your jurisdiction. We encourage users to contact us first so that we may review and address the concern.

Non-Discrimination. Soireenews will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right. Exercising a privacy right will not result in unlawful denial of services, different pricing, reduced service quality, or retaliation. Some features may become unavailable when the information necessary to provide them is deleted or no longer available for processing.

Children’s Privacy. The Soireenews Job Board is intended primarily for persons seeking employment, recruitment services, or career information and is not designed for children under thirteen years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under thirteen without any consent required by applicable law. If we learn that such information has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict it.

Teenage Users. Users who are old enough to seek internships, apprenticeships, volunteer positions, educational placements, or employment but have not reached the age of legal majority should use the platform with the permission and supervision required by the laws of their jurisdiction. Employers recruiting minors are responsible for complying with child-labor, consent, education, safety, and privacy requirements.

Third-Party Websites. The platform may contain links to employer websites, applicant-tracking systems, social networks, advertisements, training services, background-check providers, or other external resources. Soireenews is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, content, or data-handling practices of independent third parties. Users should review the privacy notice of an external service before submitting personal information.

Public Information. Information posted in public job listings, public employer profiles, public résumés, comments, reviews, or other publicly accessible areas may be viewed, copied, indexed, saved, or redistributed by other people or search engines. Users should consider carefully what information they publish publicly. Soireenews cannot guarantee that information copied by another person will be removed when the original content is deleted.

Do Not Track Signals. Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” settings. Because industry practices and legal requirements concerning these signals may vary, the platform may not respond to every traditional Do Not Track signal. Where applicable law requires recognition of a qualifying opt-out preference signal, we will process that signal as required.

Changes to This Privacy Policy. We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the platform, technologies, legal requirements, service providers, security practices, or business operations. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before materially changing how previously collected personal information is processed.

Contacting Soireenews. Questions, complaints, requests, or concerns relating to this Privacy Policy or the handling of personal information may be directed to [Insert Legal Business Name] at [Insert Mailing Address], [Insert City, State, Postal Code, and Country], or by email at [Insert Privacy Email]. General customer-support matters may be sent to [Insert Support Email].

Data-Protection Contact. Where applicable law requires the appointment of a privacy representative or data-protection officer, that person may be contacted at [Insert Data-Protection Contact Email and Address]. Users located outside the country in which Soireenews is established may also be provided with the contact details of an authorized local representative where legally required.

California Privacy Notice. If Soireenews is subject to California privacy law, eligible California residents may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, information about categories and sources of personal information, information about disclosures, and the ability to opt out of certain sales or sharing. California users may submit requests through [Insert Privacy Request Link or Email]. Soireenews will provide any additional notice at collection or category-specific information required by applicable law.

European and United Kingdom Privacy Notice. Where European or United Kingdom data-protection law applies, [Insert Legal Business Name] will act as the controller of personal information that it determines how and why to process. Employers and recruiters may act as independent controllers of applicant information they receive. Eligible individuals may contact us regarding access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, consent withdrawal, automated decision-making, international transfers, and complaints to an appropriate supervisory authority.

Other Regional Privacy Rights. Users residing in other states, countries, provinces, or territories may have additional rights under local law. Soireenews will process qualifying privacy requests according to the law that applies to the user, the information involved, and our business operations. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to restrict rights that cannot legally be waived.

Accuracy of the Policy. Soireenews will seek to ensure that this Privacy Policy accurately describes its information practices. The final published version should identify the services, cookies, analytics systems, advertising tools, payment providers, account features, résumé-visibility options, retention periods, and privacy-request methods that the platform actually uses.

Acknowledgment. By continuing to use the Soireenews Job Board, you acknowledge that you have been given an opportunity to read and understand this Privacy Policy. You understand that employers, recruiters, advertisers, and external service providers may process information independently and that their activities may be governed by separate privacy policies.
