French Montana and Young Thug aren't the best of friends right now, judging from their early morning squabble on Instagram Wednesday (April 22).

It started when French Montana said that he believed he was on the same level as Kendrick Lamar in terms of hits. "IF WE JUST TALKING ABOUT ANTHEMS, !! ME VS KENDRICK HIT FOR HIT ! I BELIEVE I CAN GO NECK TO NECK !! I BEEN MAKING HITS FOR A LONG TIME ! IT AINT MY FAULT I BELIEVE IN MYSELF,' he wrote on Twitter Tuesday night (April 21). "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION ? HOW MANY TIMES I GOTTA PROVE MYSELF BEFORE I GET MINE."

After receiving a wave of criticism for his comments, Montana stepped back and said he has nothing but love for Lamar, but he also wants people to acknowledge his catalog. "I love kendrick! that's not just for kendrick that's to anybody they put in front of me, and ask me that same question what u want me to say lol," he questioned fans. "It should be your attitude too. If u think any less of yourself don't blame it on the next person who don't! set it up."

While fans attempted to school French on the prowess of Kendrick, Young Thug chimed in with his thoughts on Instagram. "Stupid a-- n---a think he got more hits than Kendrick Lamar," Thugger chuckled. Montana wasted no time responding to Thugger and clowned him for wearing a dress in his "No Stylist" video.

The two rap stars began trading shots with Thug threatening to call Meek Mill to send him a video of Montana being allegedly "knocked out." In response, Montana offered $1 million to Thug if he was able to unearth the alleged video from Meek.

"First of all, don't get in your feelings, bro," Thugger said. "I'm just speaking from the artist standpoint. You don't got nowhere near more hits than no motherf--kin' Kendrick Lamar."

The two men continued trading jabs about each other's bank accounts and standing in the rap game. Ultimately, Thugger drove to Montana's alleged old house and sat outside. "This is the house #AuntieFrench owned once upon a time. Dam I thought I had something to do tonight," he wrote in the caption.

The "Hot" rapper also said he did more for Max B -- French Montana's old collaborator who is currently in prison. "I bet I done gave OG Max B more than you done gave. The n--- who wave you tryna wave," said Thug in a clip.
