Young Man, Murdered in Otweso

A young man who believes to be in his mid-twenties identified as Koku has been murdered and dumped under electricity cables between Otweso and Nkurakan in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal of the Eastern Region.

The lifeless body of the young man and a native of Otweso a suburb of Nkurakan was found dumped closed to a roadside somewhere 4 days ago according to a source from a family member.

It is unclear what led to the death of the young man but the family suspects foul play due to the nature of his innocent lifestyle, sober, a hard worker, and humble gentleman.

Sister Yaa, a relative of the deceased disclosed that the brother had acquired a room for his girlfriend in Nkurakan and he usually spends the night with her most at times.

Sister Yaa said on Tuesday morning, around 10 am, the family was informed at home about the death of their brother, Koku.

She couldn't identify him because he was in a pool of blood. She suspected the deceased might have been shot on the head and dumped at the roadside.

Sister Yaa said the family is seeking justice for their brother who is a breadwinner for the family.

 As of now, nobody has been arrested even though they suspect a foul play with regards to Koku’s death.

Meanwhile, the Lower Manya Krobo Police command has picked the body and deposited it at the Atua Government Hospital mortuary for investigations
