Young girl shot dead, mobile phone stolen
The young lady struggled with armed robbers on a motorbike late night in Kumasi, Maxima Junction after he struggled to give her possessions to them.

A young lady about 19-21 years has been shot dead at Maxima Junction in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital on Tuesday night, July 13, 2021.
According to the information gathered, the lady alighted from a commercial vehicle (trotro) at maxima junction around KNUST.
The sources indicated that two guys followed her from afar on a motorbike. Upon reaching her, they demanded her phone and possessions but the lady resisted and fought back; they finally shot her.
An eyewitness who sent the victim to the hospital, Nana Agyenim Boateng popularly known as Gyataba narrated that, "I heard a sudden gunshot so I rushed to the scene, moved my car and brought the victim to the hospital."
"I was later told by the doctors that she has passed on.
"It is to witness such insecurities in the country. The security must be up and doing," he said.
The body has been deposited at the mortuary pending investigations.
