The Chief Executive Officer of Women Advocacy Network Ghana, Janat Issifu in an interview stated that her outfit aims to educate women in farming, entrepreneurship capacity development and training among other aspects to promote agro business in the region.

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with the name Women Advocacy Network Ghana (Van Hive Ghana) has launched its Agro Technology Project in Sunyani.

The project has an objective to engage all stakeholders in the Bono Region on how they can apply the technology in agriculture.

The Chief Executive Officer of Women Advocacy Network Ghana, Janat Issifu in an interview stated that her outfit aims to educate women in farming, entrepreneurship capacity development, and training among other aspects to promote agro-business in the region.

She said the former Brong Ahafo Regions are known to be a farming region but most of the farmers lack knowledge of technology so the project will seek to link technology to farming.

According to her, the project is being supported by Ghana Tech Club, Master Card Foundation, Ministry of communication, and Youth Africa Works.

He added that the project aims at empowering the youth on skills development and how they can use technological skills to develop agriculture in the country.

The program officer for National Youth Authority 
Priscila Jejo Kwashi also stated that the national youth authority has trained some youth who are ready to lead the crusade on Agric and technology and the authority is ready to support anyone ready to enter into the Agrictech business.
