A 50- year old hawker lost all in about four years ago when her husband passed away.

Monica Oware 50, a mother of four, was an active woman who use to sell garden eggs and pepper in Obuasi central market, in 2017 she was unwell and was sent to the hospital but to her surprise, she was paralysed as a result of a spine problem.

Due to the high damage of the spine which has also affected the eye, she is unable to sell as she use to even though with the support from some doctors with the treatment she manages to walk to some mear distances with pain.

In an engagement by Nana Yaw Opoku (Kalibos) on 28 July 2021 with Monica Oware, her story touched many people including an NGO 5050.

The president of the club (5050) Jacob Edmund Aquah promise to support her.

In an earlier interview with Monica, she stressed how she manage to feed herself and her wards explaining that "due to the spine problem I'm facing, I sometimes crawl to where I live when my 17- year-old son is not around to support me whenever I go to the market to sell my petty vegetables."

Monica was supported with an amount of 2,700 after the report earlier but the 5050 club has surprisingly gifted Monica a stock provisions store as it was promised by the president to ease hardship in her life.

In an exclusive interview with Monica Oware, in tears, she expressed that "I have nothing much to say but all I can say is I pray to the good Lord to shower his blessings on people who have supported me to reach this far."
