Sadio Mane has disclosed that the Premier League title win is a new challenge for the players to improve upon and set their minds on winning more trophies for the club and fans.

He spoke that self-confidence is key therefore, the tag of Champions has progressed their abilities as players to represent and decorate the club with accolades.

“I think this is another step of all of us in our career for what we want to achieve, because as football players you have to be always professional and always hungry in a good way to win everything,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I think we have a great team, great staff and the club is amazing, so we have another step and big things to achieve so we won’t stop here.

 

 

“We just have to believe in ourselves still and keep working harder and be humble for sure – work hard and try to achieve bigger and bigger things with this club,” he added.

Liverpool were crowned as league Champions after Manchester City surrendered their 23-points chase last Thursday night.

A 4-0 win over Crystal Palace behind closed doors on Wednesday, June 24 cemented the title for the Reds, as Sadio Mane was on the score sheet. The 28-year old scored the fourth goal after receiving a perfect through ball from Salah down on goal before slotting beyond Hennessey from inside the box.

Speaking on his experience watching the decider on Thursday, Mane asserted that he was nervous since he is not used to supporting teams.

According to the Senegalese, the Blues win commemorated the night after achieving what fans have been expecting for decades.

“When we were watching the game it was a little bit nervous, especially myself because usually when I’m supporting a team I get nervous!” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I always struggle to watch football games… [but] when Chelsea scored, everybody was celebrating. It was just a good night, an incredible night and to be honest it was a special day again,” he said.

 

 

He praised manager, Jurgen Klopp and enlightened that he has really improved under his supervision.

“Yeah, he is a great manager and everybody is happy with him. I am lucky to be working with him for sure, because as a player and a human being I have developed under him which is really important for every player. We can see how the players develop in this team, so I think all the things come from him. So I will say again, thanks to him.”
