Wild Jubilation at Apenten as Memeber of Parliament Gives Community Electricity for the First Time in their History.
Speaking in an interview with the Media after a small durbar at Apenten, to officially commission the electricity project, the Member of Parliament for Offinso North Honourable Augustine Collins Ntim who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, revealed his vision to extend electricity to every Community in his Constituency by the year 2025.

There was wild jubilation and merry-making at Apenten, a farming community with a population of about 1000 people in the Offinso North District of Ashanti Region when they were connected to the National Grid for the first time in their history to enjoy electricity power.
Speaking in an interview with the Media after a small durbar at Apenten, to officially commission the electricity project, the Member of Parliament for Offinso North Honourable Augustine Collins Ntim who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, revealed his vision to extend electricity to every Community in his Constituency by the year 2025.
For his part, Honourable David Akwasi Asare Boakye, the District Chief Executive for Offinso North called on Nananom and the People of Ghana to continue supporting the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Government to do more development to improve the livelihoods of our rural folks.
Meanwhile, Mr. George Frimpong Antwi, the Supervisor in charge of VRA/NEDCo Substation in Offinso North District revealed that his outfit would educate the residents on the proper use of electricity since this is their first time experience.
Finally, some residents of Apenten who could not hide their joy expressed their gratitude to NPP Government.
