The postponement of the announcement regarding the Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Chief Executives (MMDCES) in the Greater Accra Region is creating tension, and it is clear that action needs to be taken.
This delay has unwittingly given lobbyists the chance to influence the process.
Some individuals were likely not selected but still believe they are in the running, creating further uncertainty.
Additionally, some are visiting high offices, falsely representing their districts, municipalities, and metropolitan assemblies.
If this situation continues, we risk making decisions that cater to a few outspoken individuals rather than the community as a whole.
Nevertheless, we trust in our leadership and have confidence in the president to make sound choices.
While there is undoubtedly unrest at the grassroots level, it’s essential to recognize that the silent majority is also waiting for these critical announcements.
We wish our leaders well and firmly believe that the decisions they make will ultimately lead to meaningful development and real opportunities for our communities.
