Western Togoland leader arrested after months of hideout

Mr Charles Kormi Kudzordzi popularly known as Papavi Hogbedetor currently under the custody of the Volta Regional Police Command awaiting arraignment before the law court.

The founder and leader of Homeland Study Group Foundation, a separatist group calling for the independence of the Volta region Mr Charles Kormi Kudzordzi popularly known as Papavi Hogbedetor has been arrested months after his hideout. 

Information given to Soiree news by a credible source indicated that the 87-year-old man was arrested at about midday by a team of Police and the National Intelligence Bureau on Wednesday, 28 July in his residence at the 66 Artillery Regiment New Town (Barracks New Town)  in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.

Soiree news understands that the Security Services have placed continuous monitoring on him for some time now. 

He is currently under the custody of the Volta Regional Police Command awaiting arraignment before the law court, meanwhile, Police says the public will be officially addressed on the arrest.
