An alleged wee trader has found herself in hot waters after resisting police arrest and slapping District Police Commander.

The culprit, a 58-year-old woman, Akua Saa is said to have been arrested for allegedly slapping the Kyebi District Police Commander, Chief Supt. Magnus Reindorf Sam for preventing the arrest of her son, Frederick Sarkodie, and three others who were engaged in the trading of narcotics.
 
The alleged suspects, Akua Saa, 58, Margaret 28, Kingsley Sarkodie, 22, Vivian Saa, 33, Fiago Gilbert, 38, and Frederick Sarkodie, were arrested at Akyem Sagyimase in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana, during a swoop conducted by the Police last week
 
According to a close source, the operations were led by the Kyebi Police Commande with 20 armed police personnel who embarked on the swoop within targeted ghettos around Kyebi.

In the process, the Police officers stormed Akyem Sagyimase where they arrested the suspects who were allegedly trading in narcotics, the police narrated.

The woman, allegedly prevented the Police from arresting her son, while struggling with the officers, in which she slapped the Police Commander in the face. However, she was overpowered by the other armed officers.

The Police managed to retrieve 20 wraps of substances suspected to be narcotics, several dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, a lighter, and a knife from the suspects.

They were subsequently sent to the Kyebi Police station for questioning and further interrogation.
