Ghana Football Association Executive Council member Randy Abbey has revealed that no target has been set for the new Black Stars Charles Akonor.

The former Asante Kotoko coach was confirmed as coach last weekend, replacing Kwesi Appiah.

Already there was reports that the new coach has been tasked to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

But Randy has denied those claims. According to him, the GFA will meet Akonor this week and a realistic target will be set for him.

"The Nations cup was 18 months away but now its 11 months. You have to take that into consideration when delivering targets," Randy said on Joy FM.

"We will meet next week and by that time we will have the targets set for CK Akonor and the other coaches."

C.K Akonor first match as a Black Stars coach will be in March against Sudan.
