Algeria forward Andy Delort has said the Desert Foxes will go all out for a win against Nigeria in their friendly clash.

The Desert Foxes are looking to extend their recent unbeaten run to five matches with a win against the Super Eagles in Oran tonight, Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Djamel Belmadi’s side struggled in the 1-0 win against the Syli Stars of Guinea last week Friday.

The 30-year-old reckoned that the Super Eagles are a solid side but insisted he and his teammates will do all they can to emerge victorious.

"We will face Nigeria who are a solid opponent. So it will be a good test for both teams. That said, as it is a home game, we will do everything to win it,” Delort told Algerie Presse Service.

"We have also prepared it well. We worked well after the previous match against Guinea. We analysed the game with the technical staff to see what worked and what didn’t to perform better in the second friendly match.”

The OGC Nice player added:      “Regarding my performance for my return to the selection, I must say that it was not perfect, since I did not have many shots.

“In the second half, it was better, since we played better. I hope I will have better chances against Nigeria. I must also say that for my return to the national jersey, I did not feel any pressure, except that we played badly in the first half which deprived me of clear chances.”

Victory against the Super Eagles will see Algeria extend their recent unbeaten run to five matches.

And before their 1-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea in the Group E of AFCON 2021 in Cameroon, Algeria had opened up a massive 35-match unbeaten run.
