We will banish LGBTQI from our land - Sunyani Krontihene Fumes

Kontihene for Sunyani Traditional Council, Oboaman Bofotia Boamponsem says government must not exchange the nation’s integrity with money by succumbing to pressure from European Union to legalize lesbianism, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex life.

LGBTQI activities have been the most discussed issue in the country currently after actors of such immorality opened their office in the country, with the intention to extend it to other regions; which has received public backlash from the civil societies, Christian organizations, and other religious bodies.

The Krontihene of Sunyani Traditional Area Oboaman Bofotia said “ it is better for the country to stay in poverty than to legalize this immoral act in the country”.

He emphasized that the government must rule the country in accordance with the norms, values, customs, and traditions of the people therefore such activities must be banished by the laws of the land and should not be legalized under any circumstance.

In an Akan adage, he stressed that “You can’t sell one of your children to cater for the others, therefore called on Ghanaians to vote against any political party that seems to promote it.
