Ghanaian musical duo, DopeNation has declared that they will still consider Kuami Eugene as their brother no matter the amounts of insults he hurled at the group.

The twin brothers further asserted that they are open to recording a song with the Vodafone Ghana Music Award's Artist of the Year if he is willing to work with them.

The two brothers made these comments on the back of Kuami Eugene scathing comments concerning their ongoing "beef". Kuami Eugene had earlier said that his initial comments about the duo's exit from his record label, Lynx Entertainment, were just jokes, in an interview with McCall Mensah aka the Axeman on ‘Y Entertainment Podium’ on Y 97.9 FM before further asserting that he is not responsible if DopeNation takes what he said personal.

"Today you are at YFM, your colleagues in the studio are your friends, so you joke with them. If they leave YFM, they are still your friends and joke with them and they take offense, it’s their problem. If a comedian makes a joke and you don’t laugh it’s your problem.’’

He then subtly jabbed at to his former label mates, as he claimed that they needed his name to trend.

"We used to joke when we were at Lynx, maybe they want hype that is why they are extending this issue. But for me, they are still my brothers," he said.

The misunderstanding between the duo and Kuami Eugene has started when had earlier said that he was happy that DopeNation had left his record label, Lynx Entertainment, to go find greener pastures because what was now meant for four will be shared amongst two people; himself and KiDi.

DopeNation was quick to fire back at him, as it stated that it always knew Kuami Eugene has no manners and were aware that their former label mate does not know how to talk to others.

Kuami Eugene replied this by claiming that his comment was a joke and the two brothers should have known that if not anything else. He then claimed that the due took his jokes personal just to trend.

While speaking in a recent interview with Nana Quasi Wusu (PM) on the Dryve of Your Lyfe on Y97.9FM Kumasi, DopeNation has revealed that it has no ill feelings towards Kuami Eugene as everything that has happened is all in the past now.

“The bigger picture is preaching afrobeat to the world. Now, afrobeats are booming in three countries; Ghana, Nigeria, and in London, and the fact that we fight ourselves in Ghana, that’s what’s keeping the Nigerians a little step ahead of us.

"Collaborating with Eugene to make a big song out there, we wouldn’t mind because the bigger picture is to preach afrobeat and to preach Ghanaian music to the world”, the brothers concluded
