We Have Capacity To Build Affordable Houses To Bridge Gap Of Housing Deficit In Ghana--Business Moguls, Bartlett-Vanderpuye Declares
The President and Chairman of M&C Group Global, Mr. Michael Bartlett-Vanderpuye, has has declared his capacity as a young Ghanaian entrepreneur to help the government of Ghana to build thausands of the affordable housing units to bridge the gap of the housing deficit in the country.

According to Mr Bartlett-Vanderpuye, who is catholic, his outfit had already approached the government of Ghana through the Minister of Works and Housing to give them approval to build affordable housing units for the government.
"We had even pleaded with the government of Ghana to give us the opportunity to build affordable houses project in gold mined reclaimable areas.
"We have realised that because of the mercury and other dangerous chemicals used by the miners to mine on the lands, after the reclamation of the lands and these lands are given back to the original land owners, the people are unable to use the lands for farming activities.”
But the challenges of getting such a contract from the government is very huge, he lamented.
Mr. Bartlett-Vanderpuye, a 41-year-old entrepreneur, who has been in business for the past fifteen (15) years, made the foregoing call while he was speaking in an interview with Soireenews com after he was crowned Ghana Most Respected Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) 2022 award.
The event was the 5th Ghana Industry CEO Awards held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra.
The celebrated young businessman was crowned Ghana’s Most Respected CEO in the first category.
Speaking further, the business Moguls called on successful business moguls to offer humanitarian services to low income workers and their families including disadvantaged and vulnerable persons in the society.
According to Mr. Bartlett-Vanderpuye, who is very passionate about the development and protection of people, his call on successful business personalities to continue to help the vulnerable, has become necessary because through this way "we can easily reduce abject poverty in the country."
"When you get recognition, it is not for you to be happy. But it is a stepping stone for you to do more. When you have been recognised that means there are potentials for you to also do more to help vulnerable populations in the society, because that means you have been doing something right for the people to emulate," he said.
Mr. Bartlett-Vanderpuye stated that it was important for people in this country to practice entrepreneurship which would help create new job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth to accelerate economic growth and development.
"I have been saying always that when it comes to entrepreneurship, l believe that every individual has elements of entrepreneurship but it depends when he/she decides to tap into it.”
"Let us imagine, some people may say that, l wasn't born to be an entrepreneur but you can work in public service for so many years, sixty (60) years after you go on retirement. Then you start doing private consultancy, what is it, it is pure entrepreneurship you have started.
"So someone who started entrepreneurship when he was twenty (20) years of age, and you started entrepreneurship at the age of 60 years, the person who started at the age of 20 years has more experience than you. So it depends when you start it.
"And an entrepreneur don't look for excuses; entrepreneur looks for good solutions in the mess of business crisis," he advised.
Mr. Bartlett-Vanderpuye pointed out that it was high time the private successful business personalities or leaders endeavoured to support the central government to develop the country.
"And the government has to explore measures to also help the private sector business leaders by way of providing a conducive environment for them to be able to develop.
"For me, it is good that we have been recognised to be awarded in the fifth edition of the Ghana Most Respected Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) 2022 awards but we are thankful to the Business Executive Media Group and its partners for the award.”
"And that the award given to me means that there are a lot of work ahead of me to do to support others, particularly to ensure that vulnerable persons also grow. The more you have been recognised the more works are expected from you," Mr Bartlett-Vanderpuye noted.
He disclosed that he has over 60 workforce in Ghana, adding that his company has a total of 2000 workforce in three continental countries for where he is currently operating his businesses.
He disclosed that for the past five years, he has been operating a business in Dubai, adding that he also has offices in Hong Kong, China, South Africa, United States of America (USA), saying that there were plans under way to open an ultra-modern office in Switzerland.
