The General Manager of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Nana Gyambibi Coker says the club is yet to find a venue to host their football matches after the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was temporary closed down for renovation works ahead of the 63 rd Independence Day celebration.

The National Sports Authority notified the public on Monday, February 17, 2020 that renovation works will resume after the Independence celebration and will “duly inform when the stadium can host both football and athletic activities again”.

Asante Kotoko and King Faisal have been hit by the news with the stadium serving as their venue in the ongoing Ghana Premier League competition.

According to Nana Gyambibi, the Kotoko management were given a notice in less than 24-hours, which gives them no ample time to decide their next venue.
