Solid Waste Collection Vehicles have been sighted in New Juaben Municipality collecting heaps of uncollected filths and refuse after Media reports.
One of the waste collection vehicles was seen carting waste to its final disposal site at Akwadum.
Following the earlier reports by many media houses about the filth engulfed in the Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua, as tonnes of municipal waste generated had not been collected for treatment and disposal for over weeks.
A visit to many parts of New Juaben South Municipality observed heaps of refuse left uncollected while solid Waste collection containers are full and being spilt over.
Residents were dumping indiscriminately around the waste containers littering the environment.
