Greater Accra Regional Chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Joseph Kobina Ade-Coker, has toured a number of constituencies in the region.
He has used his tour to meet NDC constituency executives and delegates and promised to lead a united party for victory in election 2024 when he was retained as the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC.
Mr Coker has been met with enthusiastic embraces as he sold his vision of a well-structured party, with functional officers, and a well-oiled war chest to prosecute election 2024.
With open admirations and endorsements from delegates and executives of the constituencies in the region he has toured so far when he begun his campaign, the reception has been all positive for Mr Coker, and this was due to his previous track records and achievements.
Starting his latest tour from his home grown constituency which is Ablekuma West on Monday October 31, 2022 where he enjoyed popular endorsements from constituency executives and delegates, Mr Coker also toured some constituencies on Monday morning, meeting with constituency executives and delegates.
Speaking during the constituency tours where he shared what he said was a six-point plan, Mr Coker said should he be elected as chairman, he plans to re-energise the NDC to go out and beat the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP emphatically in 2024 general election.
He told the delegates should make choice of voting massively for him to retain his chairmanship position to help bring back the NDC in the political power in 2025.
"The choice you make will determine how your government comes into power. In life you have to reward those who will shown that they are with you either rain or shine. The choice is yours," Mr Coker told the delegates.
He stated that the delegates should not allowed themselves to be influenced by the money or goodies by the other apirants to vote for them, saying that they should vote and make the choice for who who would take good care of them in their lives in the future.
He told them that just as they sought leadership appointments to succeed, lead the party onto the path of growth and not to end up as opposition party executives, he was equally into the race of chairmanship to win and lead the NDC to the victory.
Among other undertakings, Mr Coker promised to continue to resource party functionaries with timeous logistics to enable them carry out their mandates and plan effectively for party work.
As part of the tour, Mr Coker gave certificates of the appreciations to the various constituency executives in the region.
