A violent argument broke out as celebrated Ghanaian dance hall artiste Samini after being announced as the SCR President-elect at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration( GIMPA) elections yesterday.

The Dancehall musician won in a landslide victory, beating his opponent, Theophilus Quartey, in the race to lead the student body as its spokesperson.

It also captured the moment when a ballot box was whisked away by an election official to prevent the violent crowd from breaking it apart.

No information has officially come out to confirm that it was supporters of Samini’s opponent that started the misunderstanding but calls from deep sources made this clear

Samini on the other hand has pledged to use his influence to propel the university to a higher level.

It was reported that Samini polled 307 votes ahead of Theophilus Quartey, who gathered 212 votes. The news has thrown his supporters on campus into a jubilant mood.
