“Venture into business for survival and not immorality -PCG Pastor advises Youth

The Head Pastor of The Hour of Salvation Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Sunyani Penkwase, Rev. Alex Owusu Darkwa has charged Ghanaian youth to venture into business instead of crime and other immoral acts for survival.

He made the call at the Church’s 20th anniversary float on Saturday, November 20 to commence the celebrations slated for March 2022.

The Hour of Salvation Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Sunyani has commenced activities to earmark its 20th anniversary celebration in March next year.

Part of the activities was a float in the Sunyani township on Saturday, November 20, 2021, to win souls for Christ and the church.  An event which was second on the church’s calendar, the first was a cleanup exercise at Penkwase environs three months ago.

Cladded in PCG customized T-Shirts and placards, the congregation communicated the need for Christians to uphold their integrity in service to win souls for Christ.

According to the church, the 20th anniversary is the first of its kind ever since the church was established in the year 2001.

Speaking after the float, the head pastor of the church, Rev Alex Owusu Darkwa said the mission of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana is to equip Christians for Kingdom business and fulfilling their purpose on earth.

He called on Christian youth to adhere to the principles and disciplinary teachings being carried out by the church so they will replicate God’s image.

On the issue of increasing youth immorality, Rev Owusu called on churches to adopt a “catch them young” strategy in inculcating discipline in the youth from childhood.

He believes by so doing, young ones will know the best Christian way to so they can say no to social vices.

He was optimistic that, it is the best way the country can deal with immoralities such as, LGBTQ+ and its related activities as well as corruption and crime.

Rev Darkwa called on Ghanaian youth to venture into businesses for survival instead of crime which may lead them to jail.
