KiDi has said that it is a natural part of music to sample other artists' songs.

The Lynx Entertainment signee said this in defence of Kuami Eugene, who has been accused of sampling a lot of songs that do not belong to him.

KiDi maintained that all great artists sample songs, even legends like Michael Jackson and Davido.

Per his view, sampling the songs of great artists is a fundamental part of music that every musician should consider doing.

He noted that people see sampling songs as theft, but it goes taking a part of the original song and making it in your rhythm.

Just because untalented artists steal good songs of others does not mean the art of sampling is all bad.

To the point where even he samples a lot of songs to understand the basics of good music.

“A lot of musicians sample songs. Beyoncé and Michael Jackson also sample songs. Look at Kanye West, his album was sampled. It’s an integral part of any music.”

“Touch It is a sampled song on the musical youth album, and that is the beauty of music,"

This he said an interview with Berla Mundi on the entertainment segment of the NewDay morning show.

His revelation that his new single was sampled from Musical Youths Pass the dutchie came after he revealed that he had gotten consent from the owners of the tracks.

My touch It songs and others on the golden boy album are within the legal consent by management. So I have no issues,” he concluded.
