Upper Manya Krobo Stakeholders Consultative Meet At Asesewa

A meeting of major stakeholders from the Asesewa community was held today at the Asesewa Church of Pentecostal.
The consultative meeting which was convened by the chief of Asesewa, Nene Ta Gbadja was attended by the Member of Parliament for constituency, Comrade Bismark Tetteh Nyarko, the District Coordinating Director, officials from the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, GCB Bank plc, the District Police Commander Dademantsemei and opinion leaders.
In his welcome address, Nene Ta Gbadja bemoaned the inefficiency in the distribution of water by the CWSA to consumers
The chief also lamented on the lack of competitiveness in the banking sector to serve the business community in Upper Manya Krobo.
The meeting was to find solutions to the pertinent issues that plague the development of Upper Manya Krobo and ways to boost the local economy.
Nene Ta Gbadja minced no words at rebuking the inefficient service delivery of CWSA in Asesewa.
He took the rare opportunity to invite GCB Bank plc to open an office in Asesewa to serve its clientele who have to travel to Koforidua for banking services.
On market days in the District, the chief said Wednesdays will be for Sekesua, Thursdays for Akateng and Fridays for Asesewa henceforth.
In his address, the Honourable Member of Parliament, Comrade Bismark Tetteh Nyarko assured the gathering that the new NDC government under President
John Dramani Mahama will complete the water system from Bukunor to Upper Manya Krobo which was abandoned so many years ago.
He said he is working assiduously at the realization of this objective so as to augment the water distribution ofthe CWSA.
At the request of the chief to support the community with a water storage facility, Comrade Bismark Tetteh Nyarko obliged and assured his constituents at his readiness to alleviate their plight.
