Update: One personnel of fire operators involved in Obuasi Fire tender crash dies
One of the eighth persons involved in the Obuasi fire tender accident has died.
Francis Boakye Unfortunate news reaching Soireenews indicates that one of the eighth persons involved in the Obuasi fire tender accident has died.
The fire-service recruit, Ebenezer Boakye 25, was among 8 personnel who were responding to a distress call at Kyekyewere on June 5th, 2022.
The victim died on Monday, June 13th after a surgery at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
However, the Obuasi Fire service commander DO2 Emmanuel Afoakwa together with the entire fire personnel have visited the family and have been commiserating with them.
He pleaded with the family to be calm concerning the sad demise of their beloved.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Apostle Kofi Boakye, senior brother of the deceased has disclosed that the family will persuade to court to sue the contractor whose negligence led to the cause of the accident.
He believes this will serve as a deterrent to constructors who works on roads w out using proper indications which at times leads to causing disasters.
