Two students of the Kintampo College Of Health and Well-being, are said to be suffering mental Disorders after joining bad companies while schooling at the college.

The Director of the College, Dr Kwabena Poku Adusei who disclosed this to Journalists at the college's campus said the students association with bad companies after gaining admission into the school is largely the causative factor of the current conditions of the two students.

Giving further narration about the conditions of the two students Dr Adusei said "Just recently, a certain woman came here. Her son, for the whole semester, neither attended lectures nor wrote exams, little did we know he had joined a "weed-smoking" group in Kintampo town and later developed a mental problem.

"He was later transferred to a psychiatric clinic for treatment. The same thing happened to the other student. His parents were also called last two weeks to come for him because he developed a mental Disorder".

Getting the freedom to join bad companies, according to Dr Adusei is because some parents feel relaxed or take their eyes off their wards after helping them gain admissions.

He, therefore, admonished parents to regularly check on their children at school to be sure if they (the children) living up to the purpose of which they are in school.

"So the parents should keep their eyes on their children. If they can't visit them personally, they should assign someone to do that on their behalf or, better still, get in touch with the lecturers and Directors of the school for updates on their children".
