Two people have been arrested by police in connection with the murder of the policeman who was brutally killed at Nyankomasu in the Adansi Asokwa District early this month.

Disclosing the issue to Soireenews through Kofi Wusu Brempong, Superintendent Fii Orchil, Commander for the Fomena Police disclosed that two people have been arrested since investigations into the matter commenced.

"We've arrested two people in connection with the killing, I, however, cannot give you more information as it is likely to mar our investigation".

Sup. Fii Orchil further disclosed that the police is ready to relay all relevant information to the media and called for calmness so as to allow the police to execute their mandate.

Baba Martin, a police officer with the Dunkwa police command was killed in the early hours of Tuesday 19 January 2021, during an escort of a Ghana Commercial Bank billion van from Dunkwa to New Edubiase.

The robbers bolted with over five hundred thousand cedis (GHc5,000) in the van.
