The Chief of Twifo Nyinase who doubles as the Kontinhene of Twifo Traditional Council in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District of the Central Region, Nana Nkwantabisa III, has expressed worry about the recent increased rate of the criminal activities in his area and its adjoining neighborhoods.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com on Monday, March 29, 2021, Nana disclosed that the crimes which are being committed by mostly the youth in the community are getting out of hand.

"Some youth in the community have perceived that there is no police station in the community, hence they commit crimes anyhow. It would take a long time for the police to come for their arrest and by the time police get to the scene, they had fled," the chief revealed.

For that reason, he has appealed to the government of Ghana, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and philanthropists to help him get a police station in Twifo Nyinase which will serve about 10 other populated communities to enable unravel criminal activities in these areas.

Nana Nkwantabisa III further pleaded with the government for the market center in Twifo Nyinase.

According to him, the surrounding communities find it difficult to convey their farm produce from their various communities to Twifo Praso the District Capital for sale.

Nana Nkwantabisa revealed that the Nyinase community-initiated its own market project through communal labour for which they were able to put up the structure but the traders are reluctant to use the facility due to its devastated state.

He commended the current NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the continuous construction of the road from Wasa Ateiku through Twifo Nyinase to Dunkwa On-Offin which was initiated by the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
