‘Friday’ actor, Tommy Lister, found dead in own apartment at 62
Tommy "Tiny" Lister, best known for his role in the Friday franchise, has reportedly died at the age of 62.
Sources tell TMZ the actor was found unconscious Thursday in his Los Angeles area apartment. He was declared dead at the scene, and officials have yet to determine a cause of death. His manager, Cindy Cowan, confirmed the news to Variety.
"He was a wonderful guy with a heart of gold. Everyone loved him. A real gentle giant," Cowan said. "We’re all devastated."

Lister began his entertainment career in the 1980s, making a name for himself opposite of WWF legends like Hulk Hogan.

The 6'5" actor would go on to build an impressive filmography, taking on dozens of roles as intimidating characters. In addition to portraying Friday's Deebo, he also starred in movies like The Players Club, The Fifth Element, Jackie Brown, Austin Powers in Goldmember, The Dark Knight, and Zootopia.
