Farmers in Tuobodom; one of the widely known Towns known for the production of quality Tomatoes and other vegetables are calling on Government to put measures in place to process or buy & store their yields as they are tired of the annual harvest losses.

Mr. Seth Agyei Fosu affectionately called Wofa Seth, 2009 National Best Tomato Farmer in Ghana and also the 2019 National Best Tree Crop Farmer has revealed that the erstwhile President J. A. Kuffuor administration started a Tomato Processing Factory at Techiman but due to some few technical reasons successive Government's have abandoned the project leaving machines procured for that purpose to rust while  Farmers suffer in vain.

He made this passionate appeal to President Akuffo-Addo through the Bono East Regional Minister Honorable. Kwasi Adu-Gyan when he met with Nananom of Tuobodom and Offuman as part of his official working visit.

For his part, Mr. Martin Kwabena Agyei the current Chief Farmer of Techiman North District lamented how tonnes of fresh tomatoes are rotten away in the bushes but expectant Farmers look on stranded every morning at the roadside without getting Buyers.

Meanwhile, Honorable. Kwasi Adu Gyan the Bono East Regional Minister after having given very heartwarming responses to the Farmers and also promised to fix the bad road networks of Techiman North District.
