The Chiefs and elders of Gomoa Nyanyano Traditional Council have placed a three-week ban on social gatherings.

This is as a result of the funeral rites of the late Divisional Chief of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa Akyeampim traditional area, Nana Dr Obeng Wiabo V, whose sudden death occurred on 24 August 2020.

The chief is set to be buried on the 2nd of October.
     
Principal elder of Gomoa Nyanyano traditional council, Nana Frankie Awotwe Otoo in a press briefing stated that individuals and religious authorities are advised to show respect to the ban and restrain their followers from weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals and playing of drums and systems in their churches.

He stressed out that, shops and markets under the Gomoa Nyanyano Traditional Council would be closed for two days, thus, Friday and Saturday.

He cautioned that any person found around 8 pm from now on the streets of the traditional council will face the wrath of the gods.
