Three mining company workers have died in a gory accident at Ayanfuri in the Upper Denkyira West of Central Region.

Three workers of a mining company have met their untimely death this morning; Tuesday, June 8, 2021 whiles on their way to work.

An eyewitness on the scene reported to Soireenews that "they were on their way to work this morning in their saloon car and just about three minutes later, their car collided with a Bauxite truck which claimed the lives of all three.

"The bauxite truck driver and his conductor were both sent to the police station to avoid beatings from the crowd."

He explained that "they don't really know what actually caused such a fatal accident yet the two cars that collided weren't overspeeding aside that the incident happened a few meters away from town." 

Speaking to Central Regional Soireenews correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, the Assemblyman of the area, Honourable Kwabena Anim aka Hon Castro said "a saloon car occupying three young men going to work clashed with a tipper truck near a filling station".

He said all three died at the spot.

They were moving towards Wassa Akropong road on their way going to their company site.

Investigations are underway by the police.
