This year's TGMA red carpet was terrible, according to KOD
Kofi Okyere Darko, a Ghanaian broadcaster and fashion icon, expressed unhappiness with the last Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) red carpet event.

In a recent interview with Joy FM, the Founder of Nineteen57 Fashion Company stated that he expected greater fashion taste from clients who appeared on the red carpet. "For me, all of the performers that night brought their A-game. The red carpet sucked.
"If we watch what happens out there, continentally, let me even return to the African continent, events that take place in South Africa, Nigeria, and so on, we see [better things]. Chale, don't complicate things for the brothers. Simply wear a black suit and add some color to it. Because the event is red-themed, consider using red. "In their quest to outdo themselves, people actually underdo themselves," he told host Kwame Dadzie.
KOD's words contribute to the widespread perception that the TGMA red carpet is ordinary. This year's red carpet session has received much criticism for its poor performance.
This year's TGMA took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
Stonebwoy received the Artiste of the Year award. Other winners of the night included King Promise, Amerado, Queendalyn, Kofi Karikari, and King Paluta, who received New Artiste of the Year.
