The Overlord of Asanteman, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appreciated the hard work of the Chief of Domeabra, Nana Kusi Oboadum for his excelling services towards the growth of the township and has urged him to keep on.

He also esteemed his uprightness and extolled him for revealing the true nature of a leader through commitment, hard work and loyalty towards him and the people of Domeabra, which has played a key role in reshaping the community in the Ejisu Municipal.

The Asante King was present at the opening of the Grand Palace at Domeabra built by Nana Kusi Oboadum on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, and per his assessment on infrastructures put up within the space of six years since the enstoolment of Domeabrahene, he considers his choice appropriate for the people.

The chief after his enstoolment in February 2014, built his township a Police station in less than a year, commissioned by the Asantehene. He, therefore, advanced to improve on the educational status of his community by constructing a Computer Laboratory, a well-stocked library, a three-unit classroom block and a 32- seater aqua privy toilet facility.

The recent was the Grand Palace built in honour of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and includes a well-furnished residence and a Palace Court. a multipurpose Sunday school block for the Methodist Church at Domeabra was also commissioned along with the Palace. 

The Asantehene spoke delight and commended the chief for not letting him and the people of Domeabra down.

“I thank the people of Domeabra for the honour bestowed upon me,” Otumfuo said at the gathering.

“Six years ago, I didn’t know him (Mr Augustine Oteng as known before his enstoolment) until I received a revelation to make him chief of this town.

“I advised him to transform this town as his own, and in less than a year, I was informed of a police station to be commissioned, built by him.

“After advising him to build a palace, he heeded my words and today we are witnessing this grand palace and so many infrastructures in this town. Yet in all, his humbleness from day one still persists and I advise him to keep on with his attitude.

"This is the reward of chieftaincy, to see to it that there are development, comfort and good living among inhabitants.

“He did not only think of himself and family, but the entire township and such is the sign of a good leader, sacrificing your resources for the welfare of Asanteman.

He urged his subjects to keep supporting him to the fullest for the betterment of Domeabra.

Nana Kusi Oboadum expressed sincere thanks to the Asantehene for his direction and support in every initiative taken to improve the welfare of his residents.

He attributed the accomplishments in the town to the Asantehene for entrusting him over part of his Empire and always been there to colourfully endorse significant occasions in the community to the delight of the people.

“On behalf of my townsmen, I would like to thank Asantehene for his presence to Domeabra. Six years ago, I was enstooled as chief of Domeabra under the authority of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and per the desire of the King, he always expects his subjects to be loyal, hardworking and serve.

“When I was installed as chief by the guidance of the King, I have been able to put measures in place to this level and it’s been an honour at the level we have reached, thanks to Otumfuo.

“I encourage people in this town to pray for the King to continue reigning with wisdom to guide this country. I thank you for the honour and I am very grateful to you.”
