Dr. Samuel Otopa is the Director of Education for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality, has said that, the greatest legacy parents can give to their wards is education.

He made this speech when the Memeber of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri Honourable Frank Annor Dompreh was delivering promises he made to the 2022 BECE students at Nsawam Methodist Astro.

He said he is glad some parents are doing well in terms of their children's education. He also acknowledge Honourable Frank Annor Dompreh for pulling much effort in the education sector of the Municipality to change the story of some students.

He advised and encouraged the young ones growing up to take their studies serious so that one day they can also receive an award for their hard work.

He advised the parents to provide educational materials for their children to enable them strive well in their educational ladder.

The Eastern Regional Nasia Director, Mrs Doris Appiah Mensah added that, as long as the teachers, headmaster's or headmistress, educational directors and the government are doing their part to help their children's education, the parents in turn also have a role to play to ensure that their children may not go wayward but embrace education in their life.

She said the parents must set rules for their wards not to stay outside for long to watch tv but to dedicate their time for their books.

The headmistress for Diaspora Girls Senior High School Mrs. Ama Thompson also congratulated the awardees and said that, it is the government's aim to make senior high school free to loose burden of the parents to provide accessible education to all Ghanaian children. 

She advised them to focus on their books, to have a vision and to work towards it to become somebody in the future.
