The Fight Against COVID-19 must be devoid of politics-Bono NPP Executive

The Bono Regional Communication Director for the New Patriotic Party, Asare Bediako Seth (ABS) is calling on all to desist from involving politics in the fight against COVID-19.

According to him, that hinders the country’s effort in curtailing the virus.

Currently, the Bono region is having 765 recorded cases with 659 recovered and 98 active cases of which some are being managed from their homes with eight deaths.

However, the country’s total cases stand at 73,003 with 6, with 938 active cases and 65, 583 recoveries. A total of 482 deaths have been recorded.

Expressing worry over the rate at which the virus is spreading, the Bono Regional NPP Communication Director called on all to strictly adhere to the safety protocols as that is the only way to fight the virus.

Touching on Speaker’s decision to suspend parliament over some MPs and parliamentary staffs testing positive for the virus, ABS said the move is s step in the right direction.

However, the Sunyani East constituency Youth Organizer for the National Democratic (NDC) blames the government for the surge in the country COVID-19 cases saying they were relaxed during the election and the Christmas festivity. 

He is however urging the general public to adopt strategies to boost their immune system and strictly adhere to the safety protocols.
