Rookie Ghanaian artiste, Skillz 8Figure, has disclosed that Nigeria's Wizkid is his source of inspiration to do music.

He made this known in an exclusive interview while speaking on his debut Extended Play (EP) called 'Gangsta Luv' and the general path he has taken so far in the music industry.

He narrated how he first heard one of Wizkid's songs and was blown away by the in-depth knowledge and skill of the Nigerian superstar.

“2 years ago when I decided to do music full time, I remember I was actually listening to a WizKid song. I think that he had just dropped On Top Your Matter so I watched that vibe and I was like this guy is crazy I want to be like this guy” he recounted.

Skillz admitted that he envies Wizkid's talent because a musician like that does not need to really put in much effort to stay relevant because all he'll touch will turn to gold. He gave this as one of the cogent reasons he aspires to be like the popular Nigerian.

Although 6 track "Gangsta Luv" is his first release, Skillz had previously been featured on Ground UP Chale’s  We Outside’ EP a project also featuring some top Ghanaian artists including Kwesi Arthur, Quamina MP, Twitch, Kofi Mole and other amazing talents.

The project, "Gangsta Luv" was entirely produced by VT except for “Kolo”, which was produced by Yung Demz, who has worked with the likes of Stonebwoy, Kwesi Arthur, and Nonso Amadi.
