The 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards saw two victories for gospel musician and composer Perez Musik.
Princess Forson 
With his top-charting song "Hewale Lala," he was honored as Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance.
Piesie Esther, Black Sherif, Diana Hamilton, Ewura Abena, and Fameye were his opponents in the songwriter category.
He gave thanks to God, his group, and his late mother in dedicating the honor
When God decides to act like he does, this is what he does! God bless anyone who watched the stream, prayed with us, and spread the music," he stated.
Regarding the honor, he said that while he was certain of his contribution, he thought every other nominee in the same category was as deserving of the prize.
For the Best Male Vocal Performance category, Perez Musik battled it out with Stonebwoy, King Promise, Camidoh, and Kyei Mensah.
Perez Musik had five nominations with the ‘Hewale Lala’ at the awards.
The 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre.
