Tension Brews In Nzema East Municipal Assembly ...Over Plan for Technocrats To Demand For Transfer
Technocrats of Nzema East Municipal Assembly are demanding for their transfer because of the maltreatment meted out to them by the current MCE.

Scores of technocrats who are working with the Nzema East Municipal Assembly in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency of the Western Region have demanded their immediate 1 transfer from the Assembly.

The Municipal Coordinating Director is asking for their transfer because they couldn't withstand the severe maltreatment meted to them by the recently confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Assembly, Madam Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah.
According to the sources close to the Assembly, for the past three months the current MCE assumed office, Mr. Amoah who was described as the 'woman tiger' has been verbally abusing the technocrats.
"All the technocrats of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly are demanding for the transfer because the current MCE is not in a good working relationship with them.
The MCE has verbally abused the technocrats of the Assembly. She was reported to have meted out gross disrespect to technocrats in the Assembly. She has not been taken any advice from the technocrats. She is running a one-woman show of the assembly which outcomes were adversely affecting the development and growth of the Assembly," the sources told Soireenews.com.
The sources recalled that some aggrieved supporters of the constituency have staged a massive street protest against the MCE for arresting some polling station executives.
They accused her of literately changing the Nzema East Municipal Premix Fuel Committee whilst their tenure in office has not come to an end, amidst tension and confusion in the municipality.
According to the sources, she has ordered for the locked-up of the NABCO and NPP constituency offices, which situation is brewing tension in the municipality.
They stated that the MCE ordered the written notices on the containers around the roadside for relocation with the indication that the owners of the containers have not paid the permit.
"The MEC is saying that we should relocate our kiosks and containers but unfortunately she has never provided any suitable place for us to place our containers and kiosks," the traders narrated.
They stated that all the paramount chiefs in the various traditional areas are angry with the MCE because of her bad attitude towards individuals and organizations in the area
In this regard, they joined the Concerned Youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Axim in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency of the Western Region to call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to outrightly dismiss their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Madam Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah from office
The leadership of the group in the persons of Mr. Francis Koffie, Mr. Lord Listowel Kwofie, Mr. Samuel Nokoe, Madam Anita Boketey, and Mr. Goffery Nyankom in a petition to the Chief of Staff, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and copied to Evalue Ajomoro Gwira NPP Constituency Chairman, Nana Efatte-Beyeeman, Western Regional NPP Chairman, Mr. Ndede Siah, Western Regional Minister, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah indicated that the MCE has failed the entire constituents and also failed in her duties for the past three months in office and that she must be sacked.
According to the leader of the group, the MCE since her appointment as a new MCE has been disrespecting traditional office holders, market folks, students, fishermen, and women including the grassroots of the NPP in the area.

PETITION PRESENTED BY CONCERNED NPP YOUTH OF AXIM ON THE CONDUCT OF MADAM ELIZABETH DORCAS AMOAH, MCE FOR NZEMA EAST
We write as concerned youth of the New Patriotic Party in Axim, the capital of the
Evalue Ajomoro Gwira constituency in the Western Region to register our displeasure on the conduct of Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema East, Madam Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah.
It would be recalled that before Madam Dorcas' name was mentioned as MCE for
Nzema East Municipality, a section of NPP youth in the Constituency hit the street to protest against her possible appointment.
This was because the youth felt that, Madam Dorcas contributed nothing to the political fortunes of the NPP in Evalue Ajomoro Gwira.
They never knew her and didn't hear of her until her name was mentioned after the election when she surfaced to enjoy the sweat of the grassroots.
For someone who is on record to have said that, she won't take her car to Gwira to campaign because the place was unmotorable how do you expect the youth to be happy when she's appointed as MCE?
Sensing her nomination may be rejected by the assembly members, the appointment of government appointees who happened to be members of NPP and sacrificed their time and energy for the party while madam Dorcas was in Accra (as confirmed by her on ankobra FM – Audio Available), were revoked without their notice.
This of course will leave members grieved as they felt disrespected. Even if their appointments were going to be revoked, they should have been respected enough to receive a notification but nothing like that happened.
One would have thought that after the confirmation, the new MCE would embark
on a reconciliation, journey to build bridges as we are seeing in other places like Jomoro.
But this isn't the case, what we are seeing are threats, intimidations, curses and using the military to intimidate chiefs, and many more.
No effort has been made on her side to reconcile with all these people who felt hurt.
Just a few days ago, members of NPP sea fearers, canoe owners, and fishmongers who happened to be on the premix landing beach committee were revoked even when their time was not due.
It was pathetic to see members of the party who have toiled and worked so hard for the party to be treated this way. They had only six months for their contract to end yet Madam Dorcas didn't spare them. She insensitively sacked them.
What is more intriguing is the fact that the protocol given by the chairman of the NPP, Nana Efatte Beyeman by the national premix coordinator (Mr. Dennis Percyval Quaicoe) was removed from the list during the inauguration by Honorable. This is not happening in Ellembelle nor Jomoro, it's only Nzema East.
What wrong did Evalue Ajomoro Gwira NPP do? As if that wasn't enough, according to the party chairman, Nana Effate Beyeeman,
Madam Dorcas declined a reconciliation move initiated by him with the excuse that she is not on good terms with Nana Ewiefum, Michael Nokoe, Obaahemaa Assafuah who are party patrons and council of elders.
How can a leader appoint to bring unity boldly antagonizes elders of the party?
According to the Chairman, Madam Dorcas got furious when she got hold of a suspension letter from the secretary and together with her son, she visited the chairman where he was lodging and abusively insulted him. calling him names, "Village
Chairman", "Brainless Chairman," "A fool who was made a chief" etc. This has been confirmed by those who were present at the time the incident happened. How can an MCE be that abusive to her own Chairman?
Without consultation with the party chairman and communication director, Charles Erzuah unilaterally chooses people to represent the party on the radio.
This is highly disrespectful and a recipe for confusion. We thank the chairman for suspending him as the secretary of the party.
When the MCE decided to go on a familiarization tour, Charles Erzuah informed the Constituency executives as late as 5. a.m when the tour was 8. a.m the same day.
He smartly left out the good people of Ewoku, Agona, Aguafo polling station when issuing the invitation letters and when asked, the MCE boldly told them they didn't hear of the meeting because they don't matter. How do we expect the people to gleefully work for the party when they are disrespected in such a manner?
She prevented Nzema FM a known pro-NPP radio station from using Axim Community Centre for a Children's party during Christmas.
She again personally called media men of Nzema Fm and insulted them.
She has also locked the New Patriotic Party's office at the community center (Axim) with information that it is under construction yet since the notice, organizations are having meetings and others are still using the place as their office. How can MCE be mean to her own party?
It is based on these actions and behaviors exhibited by Hon. Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah has deeply affected the goodwill and feeling of the party in the Constituency.
It is based on this that we as concerned NPP youth want to draw the Party's attention to so as to maintain power in 2024 and break the 8.
We are calling on the Constituency Chairman, the regional chairman, the Regional Minister, and the party leadership to look into this matter, failure of which we will advise ourselves as the youth of the great party.
